The Community Relations Committee is responsible for selecting and developing LAW's community service projects. Notable community service projects include the Early Truancy Intervention Program working in partnership with the Metro Nashville Juvenile Court, supporting the former Morning Star Domestic Violence Shelter, and providing volunteers for legal advice clinics sponsored by the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and The Cumberlands. In conjunction with LAW's Minorities Outreach Committee, LAW members provided classroom assistance and tutoring at Buena Vista Enhanced Option School. The Community Relations Committee has held numerous book drives for Bookem.  

Other projects and activities include:

  • Participating in Habitat for Humanity and Hands On Nashville building projects.
  • Partnering with Tusculum Elementary School and The Undercover Project, LAW held clothing drives for two semesters and provided proper seasonal school attire for distribution to students.
  • Running as "Team LAW" at Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
  • Partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America in supporting Lawyers for Littles Bowl for Kids' Sake. 
  • Designing and selling a t-shirt, donating the proceeds to Dress For Success.
