Kyle Mothershead and Wes Clark will discuss their class action against Rutherford County, which was covered in a ProPublica article (https://www.propublica.org/article/black-children-were-jailed-for-a-crime-that-doesnt-exist) and in a NY Times podcast, Serial. They will discuss the difficulties they faced in bringing this case due to existing immunities concerning state and municipal officials and key takeaways from the case.
