Annual Celebratory Girls on the Run Middle Tennessee (GOTR) 5K Volunteering Opportunity

Girls on the Run inspires girls of all abilities to recognize their individual strengths while building a sense of connection in a team setting.

The end of the season 5K needs volunteers to work on December 3rd. The Community Relations Committee is looking for 10 or more volunteers to participate in a couple of capacities, from working a station (water, medal or registration) to acting as a "running buddy who can run alongside participants."

1) Running Buddy: you are paired with one or two of the girls and run the 5K with them. This is NOT a huge physical commitment – expect a lot of stopping and chatting (most of the girls are not intense runners and the goal is mainly to get them across the finish line). You can sign up here:

2) Water Stop & Cheer Station: we will be (wo)manning a water and cheer stop station to encourage girls around the route if you are not interested in running. You can sign up here:

LAW would really like to support GOTR in its efforts to provide fun, evidence-based running programs that inspire all girls to build their confidence, kindness, and decision making skills.  The girls (and their parents) are very grateful for the support provided by volunteers of this event.
