Making It Work - How Employment and Childcare Policy Impact Women in the Workforce

Gwen Laaser, Director of Child Care Services, Division of Child Care and Community Services for the State of Tennessee, will discuss how her division has been working to implement support and resources for families and child care providers to promote sustainability during this unprecedented time.

Indira Dammu, Senior Policy Analyst at Bellwether Education Partners, will be speaking from her experience as a former mayoral advisor and a policy analyst. She will talk broadly about education policy and the needs of parents, teachers, and students, so they receive the support they need to get through the pandemic.

Rachel Rosenblatt, Shareholder and Employment Attorney at Littler Mendelson P.C. will speak about employment law implications of the pandemic from two perspectives; 1) what our members who are employers should do for their employees; and 2) what our members who are employees should expect from their employers.
