Event Description:

Make plans to join us on February 24th for a unique opportunity to have a firsthand look at the inner workings of the Tennessee General Assembly. LAW Day on the Hill is a bipartisan event aimed at learning more about our state’s legislative process. The event offers multiple ways to engage:

• 1:30 to 2:00pm: Arrival and check-in at Cordell Hull, conference room 8D
• 2:00pm to 4:00pm: RECEPTION: LAW will host a special reception in Cordell Hull, conference room 8D, where Legislators and staff can stop by, network, and mingle with LAW members, and have refreshments. LAW members are encouraged to attend as much of this reception as your schedule allows.
• 2:00pm to 4:00pm: BREAKOUT MEETINGS: LAW is arranging brief meetings with Legislators in their offices. Space is limited for these. First-come, first-served! Keep an eye on the weekly email blast and the event page for the list of participating Legislators and the specific times for each.
• LAW members may attend legislative committee meetings, which are open to the public. Prior to the event day, LAW will provide registrants with specifics of what committee meetings are available during the 2-4pm time frame.
