Since 1981, the Lawyers Association for Women – Marion Griffin Chapter (“LAW”) has advanced women’s leadership in the legal profession, inspired by the legacy of pioneers like Marion Griffin, who was once told women could not practice before the Tennessee Supreme Court. Today, LAW continues that work through advocacy, mentorship, and community-building across the Nashville legal community.

We invite you to our 2026 Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet, to be held on April 28, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Music City Center. This signature event honors recipients of the Martha Craig Daughtrey Award and the Rising Star Award, recognizing LAW members whose excellence, service, and leadership exemplify the best of our profession. The event also serves an election for the Board for the new fiscal year beginning May 1, 2026.

The banquet brings together judges, attorneys, and legal leaders to celebrate achievement, mentorship, and service while supporting LAW’s ongoing mission to promote equity, representation, and opportunity within the legal field.
