This Judicial Appointments, Elections, and Awards Committee is responsible for alerting LAW members to and educating them on judicial appointment and election opportunities and vacancies on various boards and commissions throughout the year. Committee members are responsible for identifying and recommending LAW members for several awards, including the ATHENA Traditional Award, the ATHENA Young Professional Award, the ABA Margaret Brent Award, the YWCA Academy for Women of Achievement, the Nashville Bar Journal Best of the Bar, 40 Under 40 and 30 under 30. Co-chairs of the committee serve on the selection committee that selects persons nominated for the Martha Craig Daughtrey Award and the Rising Star Award.
