SUMMARY:CLE Lunch & Learn - Judging in Juvenile Court\, Minor Settlement Proceedings\, and Family Court: Unique Cases with Unique Challenges
DESCRIPTION:Attorneys often practice in traditional civil and criminal cases. But what about cases in specialized courts? LAW is moderating a 1-Hour CLE credit panel discussion with three judges who handle specialized cases: Judge Sheila Calloway who handles Juvenile Court cases\, Judge Stephanie Williams who handles Family Court cases\, and Judge Lynne Ingram\, who handles minor settlement approval hearings. The discussion will provide a window into the types of disputes these judges handle\, the challenges that these cases present\, and how the judges address those challenges in their day-to-day work. \nThanks to our gracious host\, Polsinelli will provide lunch through Pathways Kitchen\, a non-profit organization helping justice-impacted youth thrive over survive to ensure they can chart their own path forward. DESCRIPTION:Partner with Join Us to Celebrate Tennessee’s Newest Attorneys at the 49th Annual New Admittees’ Breakfast. \nEstablished in 1977 by Lawyers’ Association for Women founder Susan McGannon\, the New Admittees’ Breakfast has grown to become one of LAW’s signature events and a major annual gathering of notable figures in the Nashville legal community. Among the 300+ attendees every year are Tennessee Supreme Court Justices\, other members of the state and local judiciary\, local bar dignitaries\, elected officials\, and members of LAW. \nThis year\, the Breakfast will be held at Nissan Stadium on November 3rd from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.\, immediately before the Tennessee Supreme Court swears in applicants who successfully passed the February and July 2026 Tennessee Bar Exams.
