Vision and Revision: Equality in the Law

 HISTORY The Marion Griffin Women's Symposium was established by the Lawyers' Association for Women - Marion Griffin Chapter after LAW was awarded cy pres funds designated "for the general benefit of and advancement of women."

 MISSION To advance women within the legal profession and encourage women lawyers to assume social and political leadership roles.

 VISION To promote discourse among women lawyers through speakers of national prominence to achieve equality.

The inaugural Marion Griffin Women's Symposium will establish a unique collaborative forum on justice in the United States and its impact on women in fields ranging from the arts to technology. Participants will enjoy a keynote address from Ambassador Melanne Verveer, Executive Director of the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security, who served as the first U.S. Ambassador for Global Women's Issues.
