The Mentoring Committee is responsible for creating opportunities for LAW members to mentor law school students and new lawyers. This committee has historically focused most of its efforts on partnering with the Women's Law Student Association (WLSA) at Vanderbilt School of Law; however, this year it is revamping and expanding its focus to include additional mentoring opportunities for LAW members and local law school students and new lawyers, including panel discussions and other events.

This year the Mentoring Committee has changed its focus and has created the LAW Mentoring Connection!  The LAW Mentoring Connection offers LAW members an opportunity to interact with law students in our community in a meaningful way, but with our members' busy schedules in mind. Twice a year, the Mentoring Connection will pair an interested student with a willing LAW member for a specifically identified event. For example, members and students may be matched for a breakfast meeting, an office visit, or a hearing or deposition. No ongoing commitment is necessary, although continuing the relationship is certainly welcome at the discretion of member and student.

In order to be a part of the Mentoring Connection, members should Click Here to fill out an intake form, indicating your interest in being paired with a student during the Fall of 201. You will not automatically be obligated to participate again in the spring, although you will, of course, be welcome to do so.  Interested students and members will be based on the members' and students' information and ranked preferences.
