Membership

Who Can Become a Member of LAW?

Membership is open to any person who supports the purpose of LAW and who is licensed to practice law, or who is a law school student or graduate. Judges may elect honorary membership or may be full voting members upon payment of dues. Any other person who supports LAW's purpose may pay dues and be an associate member with all rights and privileges except the rights to vote and hold office.

Dues

LAW dues are payable annually on May 1. Dues for persons newly admitted to the Tennessee Bar are free from the date of admission to April 30 following admission. Dues are based on a sliding scale for all other members according to income.

**A member may join or renew at the sustaining rate. A Sustaining Member
is any member who wishes to support the programs, mission and purposes of LAW
above and beyond the Sliding Income Scale categories. Sustaining Members receive
additional benefits in terms of visibility and exposure.
